Ken Cook Co. was recognized for its leadership and long time contributions to the Product Safety & Compliance Seminar Planning Committee and Compliance Planning Committee. Ken Cook was Chairman in 2018 and 2019.
2019 - STC AWARD OF Merit
SOCIETY FOR TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION CHICAGO CHAPTER
Ken Cook Co. was awarded for our generic Bass, Flats, Skiffs, Bay & Poling Fishing Boats manual. This generic boating & safety manual, one in a series of 7 different boat types, was developed for boat builders seeking a high-quality, low cost alternative to in-house custom creation. The manual is based on American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) T-24 Owner/Operator Manuals TIR and contains extensive Safety, Regulations, Navigation, Rules of the Road and much more. This manual can be purchased off-the-shelf but most boat builders customize with branding, model-specific additions, photographs and schematics/drawings. We publish and print the customized versions for nearly 50 boat builders nationwide.

STC recognizes excellence in technical communication and outstanding service to the Society with its honors, awards, and competitions programs.
Individuals are honored for their contributions to the profession via speaking, teaching, mentoring, writing, and research, as well as their service and dedication to the Society and their communities.
Communities are recognized for their contributions to the Society’s goal of providing high-quality programming, resources, and networking opportunities for technical communicators all over the world.
2018 - STC Distinguished & Best in Show Awards
Society for Technical Communication Chicago Chapter
Ken Cook was awarded for the Volvo Overseas Delivery Brochure. STC stated, “the Volvo Overseas Delivery Brochure is a brilliant example of what we hope to achieve as technical communicators. The language speaks to the reader very clearly, very concisely, and with great invitation. The writing is inviting. The choice of a small folder is perfect. The printing is professional, full-bleed. I do not see that any expense was spared in this production. It is sure to pay back dividends. This is a great example of hiring the right people to do the jobs they do best. It is what good technical communication is all about.”

2013 - 2017 AEM Pillar of the Industry Award
Association of Equipment Manufacturers
The AEM Pillar of the Industry Award recognizes Ken Cook Co.’s tremendous dedication to the people and communities of the equipment manufacturing industry. This is achieved through activities that include outreach to elected officials, including Congressional Representatives, and facilitating employee participation in the I Make America campaign by informing them about the importance of pro-manufacturing policies.
